This page covers the HeyBonds Practice Room plugin inside ChatGPT and Claude. It adds to the Bonds Privacy Policy.
When you use the practice room, ChatGPT (or Claude) sends us the topic you want to practice, your partner’s first name if you gave one, a short background, and the lines you type in the practice room. We do not ask for your name, email, or account details, and we do not receive your chat history. If you choose to talk out loud, your voice is streamed for the length of that talk so your partner can answer out loud, and a text transcript is made so you can get your tips and score.
Only to write your partner’s replies, your coaching tips, and your score, during that session. We send this text to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API, including the Gemini Live API for voice), for processing. We do not use it to train AI models and we do not sell it.
Bonds does not store what you type or say, and we do not keep voice recordings. Our servers keep a technical log line (which step ran and whether it worked) with no text from your conversation. Our AI provider may keep data for a limited time for abuse monitoring under its own terms. We also count anonymous usage events, such as a practice starting or finishing and its score out of 5, with our analytics provider (Mixpanel). These counts never include what you type or say, names, or topics.
If a conversation mentions self-harm, feeling unsafe, abuse, or sexual content, the practice room stops and shows support resources.
The practice room is a self-help tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything.
The practice room is designed to be suitable for ages 13 and up. The Bonds app itself is for adults 18 and over.
If you tap a link to heybonds.com or the Bonds app, the link carries a tag that tells us you came from the practice room. Links to the Bonds app go through our app attribution provider (AppsFlyer), which counts installs that came from the practice room. Apart from these and the anonymous counts above, there is no tracking.
